Observations

This is a classic Oloroso. These are wines which are aged without a veil of flor yeasts and therefore are constantly in contact with the air giving them a fuller bodied character and darker colour. Almirante has an average age of over 15 years which is certified by the Sherry Council. Oloroso means ?aromatic? and the wine has aromas of nuts and cinnamon, while on the palate it is full bodied, dry and smooth. It matches many stews, roasts, and general meat dishes and is a good aperitif especially when very slightly chilled.
